Is Teeth Whitening Possible In One Hour?
People love performing cosmetic operations on them. Anything that makes us look better is instantly adopted by everybody who cares about their looks. And, as you’d guess, teeth whitening has gained quite a lot of following due to its area of effect – while teeth were something impossible to clean thoroughly before, that’s far from the truth now. With modern teeth whitening solutions, you can cleanse your teeth inside and out without any hassle. However, some problems remain – for example, timing. The procedure tends to be really slow and not everyone has the nerves to wait for it. Fortunately, there are some solutions.
Can’t it be faster?
Unfortunately for those of us with busy schedules, teeth whitening can be quite time consuming. Some gels take even months to reach their full effect. There is a reason for this. The chemicals used in teeth bleaching are quite strong, and using them in high dosages may pose a risk to the teeth. This is why their release is controlled, and thus they work in smaller dosages and more slowly. Thus, your teeth get whitened much slower, but at least you’re constantly safe.
There are, however, ways to speed the procedure up. Light has proven to be extremely useful for this purpose. You see, light can interact with the bleaching in many ways, essentially boosting the process and acting as an enhancer. Using a special type of UV light, or alternatively a special laser, you’re able to greatly increase the speed at which the process develops. Not only this, but you’ll also be able to activate the chemicals faster, which means that you’ll have to wait less time before the bleaching actually begins.
What are the downsides?
With so many benefits and advantages to light-enhanced teeth bleaching, one can’t help but wonder what the downsides are. Mainly, the cost. By using a light, you need to pay for it as well as the bleaching agent – and some UV lights can be expensive. Additionally, if you’re performing the bleaching at a dentist, they may charge you more for using a light on you as opposed to performing a regular bleaching. It all comes down to who does your bleaching and where, but you should be careful that you don’t spend an excess amount of money without getting too much in return in regards to saving time – sometimes, the benefits just aren’t worth it.
