How To Get Your Teeth Whitened

Losing your teeth’s white shine is natural. It happens to everyone at some point in their lives, and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. However, there are plenty of options available to you if you want to revert the effects of teeth aging and get back the white color covering the entire teeth. It’s not difficult, and recently it’s not even expensive anymore. It is, however, highly beneficial to those who know how the system works and how to best make use of it.

What are the prerequisites?

To qualify for teeth bleaching, you need to answer to several factors. One, you must be over sixteen years old. This is because your teeth develop until the age of sixteen, and thus bleaching them before that is highly risky – being still undeveloped, they are very sensitive to all sorts of external irritation. The gels used for bleaching can be very abrasive, which makes them dangerous for such teeth. Pregnant women should stay away from bleaching as well – the risks for the baby are huge. This goes for mothers who’re breastfeeding too. You need to postpone any bleaching or related operations until you’re done with breastfeeding the baby.

Are there any stronger versions?

Regular bleaching is pretty strong by itself, and it can take care of most stains easily. However, some people need something a bit more powerful. Some examples of people who may need better treatment are avid smokers and coffee drinkers. If you eat a lot of dark food, you’re probably going to need something with a bit of extra “kick” as well.

The answer is internal bleaching. It’s the most powerful version of teeth bleaching, and it works in a completely opposite way compared to regular bleaching. With regular bleaching, you apply the agent to your teeth and let it work its way towards their core. Internal bleaching works by injecting the bleaching agent into the tooth, from where it starts working outwards. The benefit to this is that the agent is able to get rid of any stains that have lodged themselves deeply into the tooth, and clean it from the inside out. The downside is that it can be very painful – remember that you need to actually inject the bleaching agent into the tooth, which may be very uncomfortable for some people. If you don’t enjoy the idea of needles around your teeth, you may want to avoid this.
